Hey there, Hampton Roads! We are full force into the holiday season, with one week left for shopping! Are you prepared?!
This December has been highly anticipated not just for the holidays, but Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hit theaters this week! Have you seen the movie? Send us your pics from the cinemas to Share@Living757.com and let us know who was Living It Up, Star Wars style!
We have an action packed show for you this week, as we share your pics, discuss our weekend and are invaded by the 501st Legion! (Well that escalated quickly…) That’s right, our friends from Garrison Tyranus stopped by the studio to stop the Rebel Scum from hosting our show! Thankfully, they allowed us to finish, so long as they were able to keep us on lock down.
With the blessing of Captain Phasma, we were able to proceed while Patricia takes us to the Virginia Air and Space Center, in Hampton. With the anniversary of the first man walking on the moon, there are more activities and exhibits than ever at VASC. Stop by the museum to see how Hampton Roads played an important part in the Apollo Program and experience the hands on displays that put you in control of your very own space shuttle launch!
Our hosts then indulge is some amazing and local Mexican food, provided by Las Tapatias a todo taco. While they taunt the Bike Troopers with the deliciousness, Quincy, Ashley and Patricia partake in horchata, tacos and quesadillas. Yum!
While under studio arrest, Ashley seizes the opportunity to interview one of her captives, Trooper 75392. Ashley learns that Garrison Tyranus of the 501st Legion are in fact ‘Bad Guys Doing Good’. Each member makes their own costume and volunteers their time to attend charitable events for organizations such as St. Jude’s, CHKD and other local events, such as Star Wars movie premiers!
We then revisit an oldie but goody, as we rehash the time that Quincy could not Qualify as a pest control and crawl space inspector! Quincy, as much as we love your thriftiness and can-do attitude, please stick to your day job!
One of the best ways to celebrate and experience the holiday season is with a visit to Busch Gardens Christmas Town! Patricia takes us on a tour of one of their newest exhibits, the Traditions Tree Maze! Here, you can visit 5 different stations within that maze that represent how the season is celebrated from around the world! Be sure to bring the family to Busch Gardens this winter as this is one tradition you will want to recreate year after year!
Up next, our hosts hit the ice at MacArthur on Ice! Patricia and Ashley show off their ice skating skills, sorta, while skating about the rinks. Quincy then tags along to check out the extra offerings the area has to offer, such as light up teeter totters and a motion activated ‘bonfire’! If you are trying to keep it local while finding fun new ways to get outdoors, this event has something for everyone!
Our final guests are a pop punk cover band, Taking Back Friday! We find out how the band got started, where you can catch their shows and what they bring to the pop punk scene. Check out these guys doing a fantastically fun, acoustic cover of the Ramones’ ‘Merry Christmas’. They were so great they got the Stormtroopers bustin’ a move!
Alright folks, that’s a wrap for us here at Living 757! Be sure to tune in next week as we bring you a very special Christmas episode from Busch Gardens, Williamsburg! Until then, stay warm and see ya soon!
