University of Rhode Island Rams

Zoe Lockwood was a high school sophomore at South Kingstown in December 2021 when the University of Rhode Island announced plans to add women’s lacrosse to the athletic department’s lineup.
The Rhode Island Rams Women’s Basketball program, led by magnetically charismatic Coach Tammi Reiss, capped an historic regular season, finishing 23-5 (14-2 in league play) and garnering a share of the Atlantic 10 title.
It’s been an up-and-down season so far… and to come out and beat the supposed top team in your conference (Dayton) at home ... is huge.
Rhode Island continues along in its rebuild season after welcoming Archie Miller to Kingston last spring. Let's answer a few questions from Rhody Nation on the state of the team?
They are starting to believe and starting to understand a little bit more. But I also think they’re learning that what it takes to win high-level, Atlantic 10, Division I games is hard.
We have experience with these types of games now so hopefully we can start to close them out more often.
Rhode Island (3-7) welcomes searing hot UMass-Lowell (11-1) to the Ryan Center for a Tuesday night tilt. The Riverhawks are winners of nine straight.
