Did you see our first ever face painting contest?!
Joy Rios, founder and president of Connect With A Wish, stops by to talk about the importance of assisting children in the Virginia Beach foster care program. Joy and Quincy set the stage for the festivities to come, including their annual Stuff the Sleigh held at Wasserhund Brewery.
Tina, Senior Intern at Connect With A Wish, explains the amount of preparation put into planning Santapalooza. This event hosts over 250 children, their families and social workers, to bring them holiday cheer during what is possibly the hardest time of the year.
Now where does face painting fit in with all of this? Joy tells us that the face painting booth at Santapalooza is possibly the most visited booth by the children in attendance. With the longest line at the event, the face painters work quickly to make sure every child leaves with a smile on their freshly painted face!
