Patricia keeps reminders in her phone for everything important that she needs to remember!
She set a reminder to do heat maintenance at her house, but forgot that it was coming so fast. She called our friends at Bud’s Plumbing, Heating, Air Conditioning and Electric for some help.
Andy from Bud’s came to save the day! He first explains that they need to make sure all of her safety features on her unit are working properly. This ensures that no fires will be started due to faulty equipment!
They test the features with a yellow meter, and determine that all of the safety measures are good to go.
Next, Andy turns on the heat and adjusts the thermostat so they can check to see if the equipment itself is running correctly.
Andy explains that it’s really importance to do routine maintenance on your unit twice a year, so you can make sure that:
- Your heat is working before it gets freezing cold outside, and
- Your air conditioning is working before it gets too hot outside!
He also tells Patricia that it’s really important to change your air filters once a month. This helps to reduce the power needed to run your unit, and also helps your equipment run more smoothly.
