Nascar, Bud’s Plumbing and Feeding the Hungry?

Sponsored By: Bud's Plumbing, Heating, Air Conditioning & Electric

Quincy joined Kevin Kramer from Bud’s Plumbing, Heating, Air Conditioning & Electric, at the Virginia Peninsula Food Bank, to learn about their community involvement, and how they help feed the hungry.

What does Bud’s Plumbing, Heating, Air Conditioning & Electric do?

We provide full service, maintenance, repair, and installation of residential HVAC, plumbing and electric systems.

What sets you apart from your competition?

Our commitment to our customers and exceptional customer service is what sets us apart, as well as our dedication to our community.

Where are you located?

We have two offices, one in Yorktown and one in Chesapeake. But we have technicians, plumbers and electricians everywhere and they can dispatch right from their homes.

We are all facing difficult times these days and need all the help we can get.  During the pandemic, how has Bud’s been able to help the community?

https://www.budsusa.com/That’s a great question! It might not seem like much, but we were there and available the entire time. It’s very different to have a clogged kitchen sink, no A/C, or no electricity in a few rooms when you are sheltering in place than when you are not home for eight to ten hours a day. On demand service was a real need during this pandemic and we were able to be there for our customers every day no matter how small the job.
New call-to-action
We did step up our sanitation practices and definitely kept our technicians and our customers as safe as possible with masks, shoe coverings and putting bottles of hand sanitizer and wipes on every truck. We also were able to continue offering air purification options to our customers in their homes. We fielded tons of questions about how they worked, what particles they stopped, etc. So, we just kept up our legendary service and took care of people.

For how many years has Bud’s sponsored the Mayflower Marathon Food Drive?

We have sponsored the Mayflower Marathon Food Drive since 2014.
Why is it important to Bud’s to sponsor this event?
Because this is our community, too! We are locally owned and operated. We live and work in this community and it’s important that we contribute to it. One of the reasons we like the Mayflower Marathon is that the donations stay here in Hampton Roads and benefit people we see everyday. Food is a basic need that everyone deserves to have met. If we can assist with that, we are happy to do so. And , after all, comfort is what we provide. You can’t be truly comfortable if you’re hungry!
