Tamara Williams from Tidewater Community College joins the crew to talk how the new G3 scholarship is helping get people educated.
The G3 scholarship enables students of modest to low incomes, to come to TCC and receive their Associates Degree or Short term training in a high demand field -at no cost to them.
The select programs that G3 scholarship covers include the areas of health care, information technology, manufacturing and skilled trade, public safety and early childhood education.

In order to a student to qualify for a scholarship, students must first apply. As it is financial aid, the total household annual income should be less than $106,000.
More great news! Students who have received a Pell Grant need not worry. They are still eligible for the G3, which can be a great addition as it can help with expenses not covered by the Pell Grant.
