A Spotlight on Regent University’s Theater Department

Sponsored by Regent University

Dr. Peter Fraser is the Director of the School of Communications and the Arts at Regent University. Regent is the perfect place for a student who is looking for a solid traditional school. Dr. Fraser tells us more about Regent University’s Theater department.

Students who visit Regent will find a very supportive community, on a beautiful and safe campus. One of the biggest draws of Regent is the location! The school is a 20 minute ride from the beach, or a few hour drive away from the mountains

Michael Kirkland is a Professor of Theater who is in his 20th year with Regent! He tells us about Regent’s Theater Department offering 4 academic programs: Bachelor of the Arts, Bachelor of the Fine Arts, Masters of the Arts and Masters of the Fine Arts.

Next we meet Remy Patterson! Remy is a Master of Fine Arts Acting Graduate. He is now also the director of Regent’s winter show titled “Winter Wonderettes”! He explains more in-depth the MFA program at the school.

It’s a fun balance of learning in a classroom setting, and then applying what you have learned on the stage with your classmates.

If you are someone who is looking for an intimate college experience while learning to perfect your craft, Regent University is the perfect place for you. At a school with a smaller population like Regent has, more time and energy is invested into you as a student as opposed to larger universities.

The theater program at the university produces five full shows each year.

Make sure if you are a prospective college student or a parent with a student looking to go to college, you check out Regent University.

And also make sure to check out their winter show, “Winter Wonderettes!”
