New Laminate Flooring Perfect Option to Hardwood Floors

By Shana Fischer

Hardwood floors add the perfect touch to a home but that perfection comes with a steep price. Many homeowners have turned to laminate flooring, but sometimes laminate can look less expensive and is easily damaged.

Owners Ken and Tracy Tran of AAA Hardwood Floors knew they could make a better-looking, longer-lasting laminate. Having spent many years building their hardwood flooring business, the Trans have now expanded and created their own line of laminate flooring called Truffles.

Truffles is exclusive to AAA Hardwood Floors and provides a beautiful, realistic, durable option to hardwood. And, while hardwood can be an issue in Arizona’s climate, laminate does not need to be in a climate-controlled environment which makes it a great choice for your home.

The laminate flooring is designed by Ken and then it is milled at AAA Hardwood’s handpicked mill to keep costs down for the customer. Ken oversees the entire process to ensure the laminate meets his high standards.

Truffles comes in four colors and installation is easy. All of AAA Hardwood Floors’ installers are in-house, they do not hire subcontractors. Careful measurements are taken and all installers are specially-trained to install your flooring to exact specifications. Laminate flooring is also never secured to the subfloor, rather it “floats”above which allows the laminate to be installed over a variety of subfloors including wood, your current flooring and even concrete.

Customers tell AAA Hardwood Floors they love Truffles because it is so durable and low-maintenance. Cleaning your new floor only requires a water-based cleaner and a microfiber mop. And, you don’t have to worry about your pets or children damaging it, the laminate is so strong it stands up to normal wear and tear. Laminate flooring is stain-resistant and it also resists fading which is especially important in Arizona.

Recently, AAA Hardwood Floors opened a new location just outside Dallas in Carrollton, Texas. Ken and his team are bringing their knowledge and expertise to the new showroom. Texas’ climate presents its own challenges to wood floors. Hot and humid summers can be tricky, but AAA Hardwood Floors understands every aspect of how wood expands and contracts due to climate changes, so you can feel confident your flooring will stand the test of time.
