What to Do When You’ve Been in a Wreck

Sponsored By: Huffman & Huffman Brothers-In-Law P.L.L.C.

Have you ever been in an accident?  If you’re like most of us, the answer is likely “Yes!”  Accidents do happen, more often than we would like, and they can have a myriad of affects ranging from emotional, to physical and financial.  And…the affects don’t end there.

So, you’ve been in an accident, but what happens next?  What should you do?

We welcome Brad Huffman Senior partner of Huffman & Huffman Brotthers-In-Law P.L.L.C. to the show to the share with us the steps you should take immediately after you’ve been involved in a car accident.

New call-to-action

These are the steps he recommends:

1.  Make sure everyone is ok, or call for an ambulance if necessary.

2. Call the police and make sure they verify what has happened

3. Get the contact and insurance information of the other driver.

4. Take pictures if possible.

5. Once home, call your insurance.

Brad also stresses the importance of NOT Contacting the other person’s insurance company and giving them a recorded statement -especially if you have not spoken to your attorney first.  You also do not want to delay getting a medical check after the accident -especially if you feel you have been injured.

But if after following these steps, you still have questions, or are facing complications with the other parties involved, make sure to call Huffman & Huffman Brothers-In-Law P.L.L.C. and let their family help your family.
