Karen ventured back out of her kitchen, and she joins the Living 757 crew from the Vanguard Brewpub & Distillery to walk us through yet another mouth-watering dish: their Airline Chicken! Karen is joined by The Vanguard’s President Randy Thomas, who tells us more about the dish.
Airline Chicken is a chicken breast with the wing still attached. The bird is pan seared first, and then finished in the oven. It comes served alongside rice pilaf and carrots- a very simple yet flavorful meal!
Since The Vanguard is also a distillery, we would be amiss if we didn’t enjoy a drink with our food! Today the Airline Chicken is paired with The Vanguard’s four grain Caiseal Bourbon. It’s 51% corn, barley, rye and wheat- which gives us a perfectly balanced Bourbon!

The Caiseal Bourbon is also in the glaze which goes on the Airline Chicken, so it fully connects the dish and the drink pairing together!
