How It Started
Earlier this summer Ashley and Patricia attended the Backstreet Boys concert at the Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater in Virginia Beach. Throughout the show the Backstreet Boys kept shouting out the 757. They gave credit to hometown boy Michael Pollard- their monitor engineer.
The girls decided that they wanted to find this “Sound Guy Mike.” They wanted to have him on the show to talk about his job, since it’s so cool and unique! When they finally got ahold of him after some impeccable detective work, they figured out a plan to meet him at one of the Backstreet Boys upcoming tour stops- in Bristow Virginia.

Upon meeting Michael, the girls both felt like they had known him forever. He was so welcoming, kind, and polite that any nervous feelings went away instantly. He was born and raised in Smithfield, Virginia- and graduated from Smithfield High School.
Ash and Patricia spent several hours with him before the concert, to include an interview and a fun backstage tour!
The girls got to watch the first three songs of the show from the stage. Then they watched the rest from the great seats that Michael gifted them.
After the show was over, they had time to give Michael a quick hug, and he had one more surprise for them. They got to meet two of the Backstreet Boys themselves- Nick and Howie.
Unforgettable
It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that neither Ashley nor Patricia will ever forget!! Thank you so much to Michael Pollard for taking the time to hang out with Living 757, and congratulations to him on all the success. We can’t wait to see photos from the rest of the stops around the globe from the Backstreet Boys DNA World Tour!
