Pregnancy has always been difficult for women- but throw in a pandemic, and it gets even more complicated.

Dr. Ashley Blount focuses on the disparities in pregnancy and the pregnancy lifecycle among different groups of women.

African American women and Hispanic women are three to four times more likely to die during childbirth. Doctor Blount is one of the many counselors who are on the forefront of trying to figure out how to fix it.
