The “Surprise Box” of online shopping can be exciting, but most of us prefer to know exactly what we are getting before we pay. Sadly, during this pandemic, we have been largely stuck with perusing our keyboards instead of the malls. Luckily, the establishments at the The Shops at Hilltop are taking the necessary steps to provide their customers with the safest environment possible in which to shop, dine and relax. Patricia grabbed her mask and headed out to see just how they are doing this -and of course, to shop!
Elite Salon and Spa was Patricia’s first, stop, because….spa. Mandatory masks, temperature checks and distanced stations were the first thing she saw. The individual stations have been equipped with Plexiglas shields and hand sanitizer pumps to provide extra protection. But you have to check out the shields in the personalized treatment rooms! Elite takes extra steps so that you can even relax and enjoy a facial during this pandemic.
Missing her partner in crime Ashley, Patricia popped-in to the Mom and Me Boutique to check things out. This one-stop-Mom-shop is the perfect place to find beautiful maternity and baby items alike. Their dedication to the safety of their customers shows in their strict adherence to Covid guidelines, with additional extras such as limiting customers in the store and sanitizing after each customer leaves.
Next, Patricia ducked into the Bottlecraft Beer Shop and Tasting Room for a much needed break. While it’s not possible to enjoy their frothy goodness while wearing a mask, customers must have them on while ordering and walking around inside. Masks can be removed while sitting at their tables which have been socially distanced and are available both inside and outside on their patio.
After a quick break, Patricia headed into The Globe Fine Gift and Home. Their beautiful and unique items are hard to find anywhere else in the area making this the perfect place to purchase that one of a kind gift for a friend or that special piece for your home. Also adhering to the Covid guidelines, they take the extra step of sanitizing anything the customers might touch, offering curb-side pick up and in certain cases even providing delivery.
Patricia ended her day out with a visit to Double Take Consignment. Being a consignment store means taking extra precautions above and beyond the Covid guidelines such as limiting customers to 4 inside the store at any time (customers must use a sign-up sheet) and sanitizing everything from hangers to buttons. Anything tried on and not chosen for purchase must be left in the fitting rooms for sanitization by staff members.
Make sure to check out The Shops at Hilltop. It’s a great way to spend the day.
