Twenty-five research teams working in brain research, cardio vascular disease, and various biomedical issues now have a brand new facility to further the progress. “Rehabilitating children’s brains after injury or stroke, cerebral palsy… we have a research program that’s come up with an exciting to way to rehabilitate the damaged part of the brain” says Dr. Michael Friedlander, Executive Director of VTCRI.

He continues “We have another group that’s made a major discovery to come up with a precise objective way to measure autism and diagnose it in young children”, and further cites advances in breast cancer causes and preventing sudden death due to cardio vascular disease.
