Norman North Battles to 4th Quarter Victory

The Norman North Timberwolves and the Moore Lions got together in 6A I District 2 battle at Moore Schools Stadium Friday night.

In the first quarter the Timberwolves put together a 7 play 79 yard drive that was capped by a Gabe Trevillison 2 yard touchdown run out of the wildcat formation.

Moore came back with a second quarter touchdown pass from Denver Wolfe to Blake Jacques.

The big play was made by Gabe Trevillison with a 38 yard touchdown run that put Norman North up 14-6 with six minutes left in the first half.  After a bad snap caused a short Moore punt, Norman North was set up inside the Moore 29 yard line.  Less than a minute later Trevillison had another scoring run, this time for 29 yards to extend the lead to 21-6. Not to be denied, Moore battled back with a 5 play 60 yard drive.

In the third quarter, Timberwolf quarterback Jackson Remualdo zipped a nice pass to Luke Switzer for 40 yards inside the 5 yard line.  Gabe Trevillison ran it in from the 2, and the Timberwolves were up 28 to 13.

Again Moore battled back.

Rejond Hayes turned the corner and took the ball 37 yards to score.  Then a penalty on the extra point attempt gave Moore the opportunity to go for 2. Keandre Pittman battled into the endzone and the Lions were within a touchdown at 28-21.

Norman North Had an 8 play 70 yard drive.  Jackson Remualdo got the touchdown on a 6 yard keeper with 8:25 left in the fourth quarter that put the Timberwolves up 35-28.  A late Moore drive ended deep in Norman North territory when Jake Tadlock intercepted a Denver Wolfe pass to seal the victory for Norman North.

The Timberwolves win the game 35-28.  The Ford Player of the Game, Gabe Trevillison rushed for 167 yards and four touchdowns.
