This week’s Ford Game of the Week features an Oklahoma 6A-I District 2 matchup between the Norman North Timberwolves and Moore Lions – Friday, October 9th at 7:00 pm CT.

How to watch Norman North vs Moore

The question coming into this game is – how good is this Norman North football team? They currently hold a 2-2 record with wins over a good Mustang team (42-14) and a 46-7 thrashing of Edmond Memorial.

Last week, the Timberwolves were down 26-7 to 6A-I #1 ranked Owasso but made a furious rally in the 4th quarter to be down by only 4 points late in the game. The Timberwolves offense outgained the Rams 372-299 and had nine more first downs (21-12). They ended up losing 33-22 after a late Owasso touchdown, but a great effort against a great team should help the Timberwolves against the Lions.

So far this season, the Moore Lions have struggled. Their current record is 1-4 with a 33-14 victory in week one over a winless Edmond Memorial. However, based on the last two games, there are some signs of life.

The Lions nearly defeated Southmoore 27-28 and lost another close one last week to Edmond North 14-7. A home game may be just what the Lions need to get back in the win column.

Players to Watch

The Moore Lions offense is led by sophomore QB Denver Wolfe. Some of you may recognize the last name. He is the brother of Dayton Wolfe, the quarterback for Westmoore. Ironically, Denver became the Moore starter after senior Jake Woodring was injured against Westmoore.

Leading the Norman North offense is senior QB Jackson Remualdo. He completed 17/31  for 223 yards and one touchdown against Owasso. Remualdo added another touchdown on a QB keeper. His primary targets through the air are Luke Switzer and Caelin Hearne.

Against Owasso, Switzer had seven catches for 98 yards and Caelin Hearne had four catches for 60 yards and one touchdown. Running back Gabe Trevillison led the Timberwolves with 98 tough yards on 27 carries.
