Phoenix Fashion Week’s signature Fashionably Pink Celebrity Fashion Show benefiting local breast cancer non-profit Don’t Be a Chump! Check for a Lump! kicks off Thursday, October 18th.
Don’t be a Chump! Check for a Lump! is a local non-profit organization dedicated to motivating women to perform self-breast checks and to directly assisting women with mammograms and going through breast cancer treatment through their Wig Out program, that provides free custom wigs to patients undergoing chemotherapy. The evening begins with a glamorous (no-host) cocktail reception at 6:00 pm outside in Talking Stick Resort’s ‘Fire Garden’ at the Style Villa, featuring a dramatic red-carpet entrance for photo opportunities, mingling with local tastemakers, live DJ, and refreshing spirits.
Set to the picture-perfect backdrop of Arizona’s desert night sky, the high-energy fashion show will begin at 8:15 pm, with “pink inspired” fashions from Glam Squad Couture featuring dresses from The Design House of Mac Duggal, worn on the runway by breast cancer survivors and celebrities.
Last year’s list of notable community celebs was Javier Soto, Caribe Devine, Johnjay Van Es, Rich Berra & Kyle Unfug from the Johnjay & Rich Show, Miss Arizona USA, Miss Teen Arizona USA, and Natasha Castles from 101.5.
2018 local celebrities will include Dr. Brian Gawley, Dr. Raman Mahabir, Face of Foothills Valerie Loo, Cynthia Sassi of FabAZ, Philanthropist Oscar De La Salas, Javier Soto of 3TV, Miss Arizona Teen USA, Miss Arizona USA + More!
