Regional games on Friday, November 3rd include a Class A Nebraska playoff game – Creighton Prep vs. Bellevue West, an Oklahoma match-up between 6A-I District 1 champ Jenks vs. Edmond Santa Fe and two Louisiana playoff bound teams – Denham Springs vs. Scotlandsville.

Creighton Prep vs. Bellevue West (Nebraska)

Overview: Quarterfinal playoff match-up in Nebraska Class A. Bellevue West (9-1) defeated Lincoln Southwest 41-21 in round one. The Thunderbirds offense dominated with over 550 yards of total offense. QB Joe Dolincheck passed for 306 yds/3 TD’s, RB Jevyon Ducker ran for 225 yds/3 TD’s and WR’s Zavier Betts and Cedric Johnson combined for over 200 yards receiving. LB Dakota Mcinnis led the Thunderbirds with 3 sacks. The Creighton Prep Junior Jays (8-2) edged Grand Island 20-17 in first round playoff action. The offense used a potent rushing atttack led by RB Luke Sims who rushed for 123 yards and Elisha Burts with 81 yards. The winner advances to the Nebraska State 4A semi-finals.
Jenks vs. Edmond Santa Fe (Oklahoma)

Overview: Game preview HERE. Both teams come into the final weekend of the regular season knowing they are heading to the playoffs. Jenks (5-4) captured the 6A-I District 1 title this past weekend with a 38-21 win over Westmoore. It’s been an amazing turnaround for the Trojans. They started off the season 0-4 and then won the final five games to go undefeated in district play. The Wolves of Edmond Santa Fe clinched a playoff spot with a 17-10 victory over Yukon. The Wolves hope to get a higher playof seed with a win.
Denham Springs vs. Scotlandville (Louisiana)

Overview: Game preview HERE. Louisiana 4-5A match-up between two teams heading to the playoffs. Scotlandville comes into the game with a 8-1 overall/7-1 district record. The Hornets undeafeated season ended this past weekend with a 39-6 loss to Zachary. Offensive leaders include QB Cameron Armstead, RB Trenton Charles (Yale commit) and WR Vernon Powell. The leader on defense is CB Kelvin Joseph (recruited by Florida, Florida State, LSU, Alabama and Clemson). Denhan Springs comes into game with a 7-3 overall/4-2 district record. The heart and soul of the offense is RB Tyre Golmond (Arizona State recruit). Golmond rushed for over 300 yards/3 TD’s last weekend in a 34-6 win over Central. For the season, Golmand has 1161 yds/13 TD’s and 129 yard average per game.
