This Friday night Central High School takes on Zachary on YurView and YurView.com. Recruiting expert Lee Brecheen breaks down the players to watch in this Recruiting Spotlight.
Central Quarterback Carousel
Central High School has really overcome a lot of adversity this year already with a lot of injuries. And I think what’s really kept Central from having a better year is losing quarterbacks every week. To start the season, their starting quarterback Samuel Kennerson was hurt so they had to go with Parker Evans who was really a great athlete for the team – a punter, receiver, everything. Parker’s 6’3” 215, a wonderful athlete, but he started and also got hurt.
Zachary Gunning for a Championship
Zachary High School – great coaching staff, talented young quarterback in Keilon Brown of Southmoore. He’s done a great job.
Key to this team to be state champions is improving their running game. They need a…couple of guys to step up to make their running game really strong, because it puts a lot of pressure on the quarterback – a young quarterback.
To be a state champion they’ve got to get this run game in order. They’ve got a couple of go-to guys so they can not be one dimensional come playoff time.
