Baton Rouge Green – Planting & Sustaining the Communities Trees & Green Spaces

Baton Rouge Green maintains thousands of trees along major roadways and interstates, planting trees with kids in schools, helping underserved neighborhoods with community greening, and cultivating urban orchards to provide citrus to all citizens. They have a love for trees, wildlife, people, and the unique city of Baton Rouge. They believe in stewardship of this beautiful environment they call home.

City Citrus Pick Event

Since 2014 Baton Rouge Green has partnered with the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank and organized the City Citrus Pick Event each winter.  The fresh fruit, grown and harvested entirely by volunteers, is then distributed throughout the Food Bank network to families in need.
