Flamenco Santa Barbara was founded 10 years ago to inspire an appreciation of authentic Flamenco dance and music through instruction, performance, community partnerships, tuition assistance and wide-spread support of Santa Barbara’s vibrant flamenco arts scene.
It provides deserving students the opportunity to master and perform Flamenco dance while instilling a sense of community, self-discipline, culture and pride. The organization also provides a permanent performance stage during Fiesta, pays for visiting Flamenco musicians to accompany dancers and also sponsors Flamenco Santa Barbara dancers, which perform year round for corporate events, private gatherings, senior homes and hospitals, in schools and other venues.
Flamenco Santa Barbara also sponsors and pays for some of the very best visiting Flamenco dancers to teach, showcase and promote the art of dance. Many of the very talented visiting Flamenco dancers come all the way from Spain to perform and give workshops to our young dancers.
