It’s early, but Millard South and Elkhorn South have high hopes after starting the season 1-0. They meet in a non-conference matchup between two of the top 10 ranked teams in Nebraska.
Elkhorn South comes off a thrilling 30-28 victory over Millard West. The Storm won on a late fourth-quarter field goal from Carson Crouch, son of former Cornhusker and Heisman award winner Eric Crouch. The Storm also features one of the top OT prospects in senior Teddy Prochazka, who is a Nebraska commit. You won’t be able to miss him at 6’8″ and 260 lbs. Elkhorn South is currently ranked #10 in the Nebraska high school football rankings.
Millard South opened the season with an impressive 33-0 shut out victory over Millard North. The Patriots held the Mustangs to 152 yards rushing and only 26 yards passing. The #5 ranked Patriots were led by RB Taekwon Johnson, who rushed 8 times for 79 yds/2 TD’s and QB TJ Urban (7/16, 140 yds).
