YurView and URI Athletics have partnered to bring all five 2019 home football games to Cox customers in Rhode Island. Cox’s YurView will broadcast Rhody’s home contests against Delaware, Stony Brook, Elon, Merrimack and James Madison.
“We are very excited to expand our relationship with Cox/YurView and bring Rhode Island football to a wider audience,” Rhode Island Director of Athletics Thorr Bjorn said. “With the success of last season and new turf and lights in place for this season, we have reached a key point in time for the football program. Having a quality partner in Cox/YurView in place will give more fans the chance to be a part of this exciting time.”
In addition to the home football games, YurView also will broadcast all home basketball games that are not picked up through the Atlantic 10’s national television package. The broadcast schedule for the basketball games will be announced at a future date. The partnership between Rhode Island and YurView will include select contests in other sports, which also will be announced at a future date.
“We’re excited to continue our long, successful partnership with Rhode Island athletics,” said John Parris, YurView’s Director of Content. “With the new football facilities in place and all of the recent success URI’s programs have had, we know fans can’t wait for the season to start and we’re looking forward to televising these exciting matchups on YurView.
“Rhode Island alumnus Stone Freeman will be the voice of the YurView broadcasts,. YurView is available to Cox Communications customers, the games will be televised on channel 1004 in Rhode Island.

- Sept. 7 – Delaware, 7 p.m.
- Sept. 28 – Stony Brook, 7 p.m.
- Oct. 26 – Elon, 1 p.m.
- Nov. 2 – Merrimack, 1 p.m.
- Nov. 23 – James Madison, 12 p.m.
