This was an important early matchup in 6A Division II’s District 2. Bixby scored early in the first on a 5 play 55 yard drive that finished with a 19 yard touchdown run by Bixby sophomore Braylin Presley.
In the second quarter Bixby extended the lead to 10-0 on a 27 yard field goal by Vernon Reis who had an outstanding night of punts and kickoffs as well. A 52 yard pass from Mason Williams to Trevon Holt led to a 1 yard TD run by Carson Chambers. Then with less than two minutes in the half, it was Braylin Presley again, this time for 11 yards and a touchdown. It was 24-0 Bixby at the half.
In the third quarter the Hornets drove inside the Bixby 10, but a combination of penalties and Bixby defense turned away the BTW threat.Early in the fourth Mason Williams connected with Trevon Holt again. This time for a 28 yard touchdown reception. Bixby wins the game 31-0.
Bixby improves to 5-0, and 2-0 in District 6A-II-2. BTW is now 2-3 overall and 1-1 in district.
