School’s out for the Summer! How to keep kids entertained

JR and Vanessa show us some great options to keep the kids entertained in the summer. We visit the Children’s Museum of Phoenix, the Halle Heart Children’s Museum, a railroad park and Enchanted Island.

Global Ties Arizona brings investigative journalists from all over the world to collaborate, interact and empower the youth of Arizona who would like to become a journalist.

We explore Enchanted Island located inside the heart of Phoenix’s Encanto Park. Enchanted Island is filled with rides and attractions for kids, and the historic Encanto Carousel and pedal-boats will be fun for the entire family.

The Children’s Museum of Phoenix is one of the top three children’s museums in the nation. They offer more than 300 play experiences for kids housed on three floors of the historic Monroe School Building.

We take a trip to the McCormic-Stillman Railroad Park in Scottsdale. The 30-acre park is the most unique park of its kind in the country. Take a ride on the Paradise & Pacific Railroad and the 1950-vintage Allan Herschell carousel.

We sit down with valley resident, James Rivas Jr. to talk about his life on radio and how it’s a business he learned from his father.
