Christmas Angel Tree Project Gives Children in Need a Joyful Christmas

The Holidays is a time for giving and there is no one more worthy of a special gift than a child in need.

The Christmas Angel Tree Project was started by Valley Realtor, Linda Booker. She wanted to make sure children who are in foster care or waiting to be adopted or at shelters were able to have a bit of the holiday spirit. Sisters Chris Espinoza and Stephani Williams joined her and together this magical trio has made the holidays special for hundreds of children every year.

But, to pull off something this joyful, they need help from elves just like you. You can make the Holidays brighter for children by heading to any three locations of Valle Luna Restaurants. There you will find a Christmas tree decorated with tags. Those tags each hold a special wish from a child in need. Some ask for clothing, others for games, some want a toy. Pick a tag and fulfill the wish. All you have to do is return with your gift to the Valle Luna restaurant and Linda and her team take care of the rest.

Born and raised in Arizona, Christmas is a special time for Chris Espinoza and her sister. She says being a part of the Christmas Tree Angel project is the best part of the holiday, “Growing up, my sister and I always had a great Christmas with plenty of gifts. We also knew we were fortunate so we made sure to give a gift to a child in need. For us, that’s what Christmas is about. Making it good for someone else makes us feel good. Knowing we are doing what we can to help kids.”

If you can’t make it to a Valle Luna to get a tag, you can bring an unwrapped gift to any drop-off location. Christmas Tree Angel Project is accepting gifts until December 20th. If you need more information, you can contact Valle Luna in Chandler.

And, be sure to mark December 13th on your calendar for a little Holiday fun and food! Valle Luna in Chandler is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a night that will create some very special holiday memories. From 5pm-7pm on the patio, you and your family can enjoy visiting with Santa, Mrs. Claus, their elf and everybody’s favorite reindeer, Rudolph! Complimentary hot chocolate and cookie decorating will also be available. So be sure to stop by and celebrate and don’t forget to make a reservation for dinner that night.

This time of year is filled with so many wishes of cheer and joy, and you can make it more meaningful by helping your community.
