If it’s excitement you’re craving while soaking up the sun, Nelson’s landing located along Nevada State Route 165 has it all, from swimming in the crystal clear water, to embracing your inner daredevil with 50 ft. cliff jumping into the Colorado River reservoir Lake Mohave.
“Jumping off the cliff is tons of fun. I think everyone should do it at least once because if you do it and you like it, then you can continue to jump off. But if you don’t like it, then at least you can say you did it,” said a recent Nelson’s Landing visitor.
Nelson’s Landing is a picturesque cove and beach along the Colorado River, 25 miles outside of Boulder City, Nevada. It’s the perfect road trip from Las Vegas with shops and cool stops along the way.
“It’s super awesome. This is one of my favorite places to go in the whole world. It’s amazing just to be out here in nature.”
And if cliff jumping isn’t your thing, there are plenty of other ways to enjoy Nelson’s Landing. It’s a fantastic spot for fishing, kayaking, barbequing and more.
Take a dip in the serene water or picnic by the shore. There’s something for the entire family to enjoy, including your four legged friends.
“It’s also like an escape for some of us or all of us to just be a kid and not worry about jobs are anything to do. It’s really cool,” said another recent visitor.
