Saints Gameday LIVE: Thursday Night Football vs Dallas Cowboys

“America’s Team” heads to the Big Easy with pregame set for 5:30pm on Yurview

For the second consecutive week, the New Orleans Saints will play on Thursday Night. The Who Dat Nation will be looking for a different result after last week’s 31-6 loss on Thanksgiving to the Buffalo Bills. Next up is the Dallas Cowboys. Tune in at 5:30pm for Saints Gameday on YurView as Victor Howell and Scott Shanle breakdown the X’s and O’s of the match-up, while Saints Insider Mike Nabors will be live from inside the Superdome with any last-minute updates.

The Saints and the Cowboys have met 30 times and Dallas holds a 17-13 series lead, but the Saints have won 10 of the last 13. Of course, head coach Sean Payton has an intimate relationship with Dallas. Payton was on the Cowboys’ coaching staff under Bill Parcells for three seasons.

The Black and Gold have a solid history against Dallas in the Ceasars Superdome, winning nine of the last 11 games in New Orleans. The last win came in 2019 when Will Lutz accounted for all the points for the Saints in a 12-10 victory.

The Cowboys enter the contest in first place in the NFC East, but they are currently riding a two-game losing streak. Dallas will be without head coach Mike McCarthy, who will miss the game due to testing positive to COVID-19. Defensive coordinator Dan Quinn will take over head coach duties in his absence.

The Saints are coming off playing their fourth Thanksgiving game since 2010. Unfortunately for the Black and Gold, the Buffalo Bills spoiled the Holiday. The Saints could only muster six points offensively and it is possible that Taysom Hill will take over the offense. Trevor Siemian started the last four games in relief of Jameis Winston.

Tune in right after the game for our live Post-Game show with Saints Tonight. Hear from Coach Payton and other one-on-one interviews with Saints players and Mike Nabors as they discuss the game, while Shanle and Victor breakdown the big plays.
