Sulphur got off to a slow start but then ramped it up to defeat Purcell 41-7. After trailing 7-0, Sulphur outscored Purcell 41-0 the rest of the way.
Sulphur improves to 5-0 while Purcell falls to 1-4.
Sulphur’s Logan Smith tallied two rushing touchdowns in the first half.
Sulphur’s Tavius McDonald scored on a jet sweep in the third quarter.
Sulphur quarterback Reese Ratchford rushed for two touchdowns, one on a fake jet sweep and the other a 52-yard scamper, as well showing his defensive prowess by hauling in an interception.
