Ford Game of the Week: Muskogee vs. Bixby Football (Replay)

The Muskogee Roughers and the Bixby Spartans played for the 6AII District 2 championship.  The Roughers came into the game with a 5-1 record in the district and 8-1 overall.  Bixby was undefeated in both, 6-0 in district and 9-0 overall.
The Spartans got the scoring going early.  Quarterback Mason Williams and running back Braylin Presley connected on a 44 yard pass and run to put Bixby on top 7-0, with less than thirty seconds gone in the game.  About a minute later Williams found Luke Creeger on a 21 yard touchdown pass and the score was 14-0.
Later in the quarter the Roughers blocked a Vernon Reis field goal attempt.
Then on Muskogee’s possession quarterback Ty Williams found an opening and ran 85 yards for a touchdown to get the Roughers right back in it at 14-7.
With less than thirty seconds to go in the first quarter Mason Williams connected with Luke Creeger again.  This one went for 25 yards and the touchdown made the score 20-7 as Muskogee tipped the point after attempt.
Then at the beginning of the second quarter Ty Williams hit Jordan Bradley over the middle.  Bradley made a nice catch on a low ball and took it to the end zone on a 75 yard play.  The score was Bixby 20, Muskogee 14.
Bixby came back with a 12 yard TD pass to Brennan Presley and got a two point conversion to make it a 28-14 game.  The Roughers came back with a 28 yard TD pass to Kaunor Ashley to make it 28-21.
But Bixby closed out the second quarter with two touchdowns. The first was a 10 yard run by Braylin Presley.  The second came with just 12 seconds left in the half as Mason Williams found Barrett Daniel on a 21 yarder that made the halftime score Bixby 42, Muskogee 21.
In the third quarter Braylin Presley got a 9 yard TD run.  That was followed in the fourth by an 11 yarder run in by Brennan Presley and a one yard Corbin Steele touchdown that made the final Bixby 63, Muskogee 21.
Mason Williams was the Ford Player of the Game.  He was 27 of 37, passing for 451 yards and 5 touchdowns. Bixby completes the regular season undefeated at 10-0 and wins district 6AII-2.  Muskogee finishes the season 8-2.
