And then there were four.
After 64 games in two weeks, the NCAA Tournament is down to its Final 4 – South Carolina, Oregon, Gonzaga and North Carolina. These are the teams that survived four games and completed their Dash to the Desert, specifically their dash to the Arizona desert. South Carolina will play Gonzaga followed by Oregon vs. UNC on Saturday night at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale.
It’s a different type of Final 4, with two of the teams making it this far in the NCAA Tournament for the first time ever (South Carolina, Gonzaga), while it’s only the Ducks second-ever trip. The first came in 1939, the original, where Oregon won the whole thing. North Carolina, of course, is a college basketball blue-blood who lost to Villanova at the buzzer in last season’s championship game.

Former Tar Heel Scott Williams sweated out an epic Elite Eight ending between UNC and Kentucky and gives his thoughts on Luke Maye and Roy Williams to Vin Parise, before the duo is joined by Kevin McNamara, Mark Ewing and Adam Finkelstein to cover the rest of regions.
It’s Episode 3 of Dash to the Desert.
