Whether at Tilton or Creighton, Marcus Zegarowski Just Wants to Win

To say Marcus Zegarowski is on a run is an understatement. On Thursday at the National Prep Championship, we’ll see just how far he can take it.

The Creighton bound point guard and his Tilton team will take on Northfield Mount Hermon in the National Prep Championship semifinals at 1:00pm. The game will be streamed live on Yurview.com, following the stream of the first semifinal between Putnam Science Academy and Woodstock Academy.

Zegarowski dropped 57 points in the NEPSAC semifinals against South Kent, saying he just got in the zone with the help of his teammates. He then led the Rams to the AA Championship in the over St. Andrews the next day. He was named tournament MVP.

Now though, Tilton gets a matchup with NEPSAC AAA Champion and it’s MVP Nate Laszewski after winning on both Tuesday and Wednesday.

Suffice to say, Creighton fans should be happy to welcome him to Omaha. He says he’ll work with his brother, NBA veteran Michael Carter-Williams, after the prep season and before he begins summer classes at Creighton.

Once there, he says, his only goals are to win more championships with the Bluejays.
