March in Las Vegas is certainly an exciting month! From our unique weather to the extensive list events, this is a great month to be here on the Ninth Island. Spring in Las Vegas brings its own “March Madness” of weather conditions.  Some days can be beautiful pool days and others can feel like winter weather.  The average temperature in March is low 70’s in the day, but it can dip into the 40’s at night. One definitely feels that 30-degree temperature drop once the sun starts going down. If you’re visiting Vegas this month, you’ll want to pay close attention to the forecast, which changes frequently, as well as pack clothes for both day temperatures and night temperatures. Keep in mind, sun vs shade and wind/no wind greatly impacts the temps.  Also, if you have allergies, be warned! The air quality due to pollen and dust in the spring is rough on those of you with allergies (trust me, I learned this lesson the hard way!).

March is the month that kicks off the Vegas pool season (weather permitting). Most properties begin to open up their pools, although some may have limited hours or may not have all pools open for guests. It’s best to check with the hotel property directly if you’re looking for a pool day.

The LINQ Promenade

In addition to all of the spring breakers looking for the Vegas pool experience, March also tends to bring in the crowds for March Madness and of course, for St Patrick’s Day.  On the Strip, the St. Patty’s action can be found in The LINQ Promenade, as well as at the Brooklyn Bridge outside of New York New York.

Fremont Street Experience

Fremont Street Experience is where the big St. Patrick’s Day celebration is happening, or should we say celebrations, as the festivities begin on Thursday March 16th and take place through Sunday March 19th. Attendees can expect live music, drink specials and large crowds.

Water Street District Annual Parade

For the Las Vegas locals, the Water Street District in Henderson will hold its annual parade on Saturday March 11th, with festivities March 10-12th (Expect road closures).

Resorts World Las Vegas

When it comes to March events, the Entertainment Capital of the World does not disappoint.  Several artists continue their residencies, including David Blaine, Luke Bryan and Katy Perry, who will all be performing at Resorts World Las Vegas various dates throughout the month. The Dolby Theater at Park MGM welcomes back Usher who also has dates for his after parties. Maroon 5 is kicking off their residency there as well, performing various dates throughout the month. For those Country music fans, Zappos Theater inside of Planet Hollywood is welcoming back Miranda Lambert and Keith Urban who will perform various dates throughout the month. Lastly, for those classic rock fans, both Chicago and Foreigner will be performing various dates throughout the month at the Venetian.

In addition to the Vegas residencies, there are several other concerts taking place this month. If you’re attending an event at Allegiant Stadium or T-Mobile Arena, be sure to check their websites for information on what’s allowed inside.
