While June 21st is officially the first day of summer, it already feels like summer here on the Ninth Island! With average daily temperatures ranging from low 90’s on up to triple digits, it will be perfect for pool days! It does cool off to more comfortable temps in the evenings, which makes it perfect for the outdoor bars and restaurants located on the Strip, as well as Downtown.

One outdoor area that we really enjoy is the LINQ Promenade.  The LINQ Promenade is located between LINQ Hotel & Casino and Flamingo Hotel & Casino and is a Vegas must.  This walkable area begins at Las Vegas Blvd and ends at the High Roller Observation Wheel.

Even if you’re not familiar with the Promenade, you can’t miss the largest observation wheel in North America! At its highest point of 550 feet, guests can enjoy 360-degree views of Las Vegas during both day and night.

The experience itself is a 30-minute rotation and packages range from just the observation wheel itself to their happy hour, which includes a full bar and bartender to serve up all you can drink during the 30-minute rotation. For more information on tickets and hours of operation, check out their website www.caesars.com.

Now for those who enjoy a little more adventurous way to take in the Vegas views, the Fly LINQ Zipline provides two different ways to soar down the Promenade to the High Roller.  Guests can fly seated or Superman style, both providing an exciting experience.

While looking up at the zipline from the promenade, it doesn’t seem so high; however, once you’re standing up on the 12-story tower getting ready to fly, you will certainly feel the excitement! Zipliners soar 1,121 feet at speeds up to 35 mph!  More information on Fly LINQ can also be found on www.caesars.com.

Looking for a cool experience? The Minus 5 ICEBAR located in the Promenade is perfect for these hot summer days! While it may seem strange to put on a winter coat, hat and gloves (all provided) during 100+ degree temperatures, once inside the ICEBAR you will be happy that you did!

The chilly temps won’t be the only thing taking your breath away! The entire bar is made of ice and unique to Vegas ice sculptures. Along with the beautiful ice scupltures, there is a bar made of ice where you can sip on cocktails out of glasses made of ice! For more information visit www.minus5experience.com.

J Boog performing at Brooklyn Bowl

Now if you’re looking to stay in the AC, there are two entertainment venues located right inside the LINQ Promenade.  Brooklyn Bowl offers an intimate music setting, hosting several concerts throughout the month.

And right across is Jimmy Kimmel’s Comedy Club, which features nightly comic acts, including comedians like John Caparulo and Luenell who perform there weekly.

Tickets for Brooklyn Bowl events can be found on their website, www.brooklynbowl.com and tickets for Jimmy Kimmel’s Comedy Club can be found on www.jimmykimmelscomedyclub.com.

Now aside from the above-mentioned entertainment, the LINQ Promenade also is home to a FREE light show that takes place multiple times throughout the evening.  The show includes synchronized, color changing lights on the High Roller, on ICEBAR and the center fountain that are all set to music.

Now of course as an open-air shopping area, there are several small businesses selling everything from cookies and candy to clothing and souvenirs. Some popular retail hotspots include the Harley Davidson store, Honolulu Cookie Company and of course the two-story Sugar Factory. Sugar Factory also offers unique cocktails on their second level.

Last but not least is the food!  There are tons of great places to grab a bite along the Promenade.  Some of our favorites include Chayo, Favorite Bistro, Maxie’s and Yard House.  The LINQ Promenade is truly a one-stop shop for those looking to shop, eat, drink and be entertained! For more information on the LINQ Promenade check out these links on our YouTube Channel.
