Las Vegas, NV, USA - October 13, 2019: Exterior of The LINQ Hotel + Experience.

As the saying goes, time flies when you’re having fun. That must be the case here in Vegas, as it’s already February!  We kicked off 2023 here with some exciting events and it’s safe to say that February is just as exciting!  If you’re a Vegas local or traveling to the Ninth Island of Las Vegas, here are some of the entertaining events:

For sports fans, February is definitely the month to be in Vegas! Superbowl is always a busy and exciting time here. Casinos, restaurants, and bars on the strip, downtown and off-strip are all gearing up for the crowds with game day packages.  Do not plan on just spontaneously popping into a sportsbook or sport bar, as the majority of sporting venues are requiring pre-paid reservations.  While you may have to pay in advance, your funds will go towards the food and drinks that you order during the game in many of these places.

PC Allegiant Stadium

Before the Superbowl, there’s the Pro Bowl, which is once again held here at Allegiant Stadium (2/5/23), as well as the East West Shrine Bowl (2/2/23). Now if you’ve never been to Allegiant Stadium, there are a few things that you should know.  First of all, this stadium is worth all of the hype!  It is absolutely beautiful inside and out and boasts several popular Vegas restaurants, rather than the typical stadium fare.

PC Allegiant Stadium

It is a cashless stadium, so be sure to bring a credit or debit card and like most stadiums, your food and drinks are going to cost more.

PC Allegiant Stadium

Allegiant stadium also has a very strict policy on what can be brought inside, so if you’re heading there for Pro Bowl or any event in the future, be sure to check out their website www.allegiantstadium.com.

The Las Vegas Golden Knights play at T Mobile hockey game

If football isn’t your sport of choice, catch the Vegas Golden Knights at T-Mobile Arena (who also has restrictions on what can be brought inside).

T Mobile Arena

VGK has several home games this month (2/12, 2/16, 2/18, 2/23, 2/25) and regardless if you plan on attending one or not, be sure to check out the procession of the band and cheerleaders and the pre-game party that happen before all home games in The Park outside of New York New York and in Toshiba Plaza outside of the arena. Our latest sports team, the Desert Dogs Lacrosse Team, will be at Michelob Ultra Arena at Mandalay Bay (2/4 & 2/24).

Now if music is more your jam, here are some of the concerts scheduled for the month of February:

  • Luke Bryan will perform at Resorts World Las Vegas (2/1, 2/3-4, 2/8, 2/10-11)

Now of course Las Vegas is known for its gambling and entertainment, but we are the unofficial foodie capital, as well.  Many celebrity chefs have opened restaurants here on the Ninth Island.  The Cake Boss, Buddy Valastro, has been one of these celebrity chefs who has made his mark here.  While he’s had his restaurant and bakery over at The Venetian, he seems to be taking over Caesars’ properties lately.

Mauro Belgiovine, Buddy V’s father-in-law

His collaboration with his father-in-law, Mauro Belgiovine, is located at Harrah’s Casino, right off of the casino floor.  The “Pizza Guy” and the “Cake Boss,” have created Pizza Cake, which serves up, you guessed it, pizza and cake, along with some of Buddy’s other delicious desserts.

Mauro owned a pizza shop in New Jersey for thirty years and although he claims to be retired, guests can still see him making the delicious pies served up at Pizza Cake.

Jersey Eats off of LINQ Promenade

Next door at LINQ Hotel & Casino, seems to be where Buddy is really taking over! With a food truck, Jersey Eats, located inside of the casino, near the sportsbook, guests can enjoy a variety of Hoboken style quick bites.

There’s also Boss Café, where they make fresh mozzarella, or “the Mutz” as they call it, several times a day.

This creamy goodness tops their pizzas and sandwiches and can also be ordered as a side.  And if you’re lucky enough to be there during a time where they’re making the Mutz, it is a fascinating process!

Now these three eateries are great for guests looking for a quick bite, but don’t want to sacrifice the quality.  And speaking of quality, you can actually get quality pizza and cake out of a vending machine.  Yes, you read that correctly, Buddy V has Cake ATM’s throughout all of the Caesars’ properties, as well as the LINQ Promenade, where you can buy a slice of cake.

He also has two Pizza ATM’s located inside of LINQ Hotel & Casino, where you can order a freshly baked slice or two.  Only in Vegas can you have your cake and pie and eat it too, any time of the day!

Whether you’re a Las Vegas Local, or just visiting the Ninth Island, be sure to get out and explore this beautiful state! For more information on each of these destinations, check out this video, or tune into Ninth Island Connection on YouTube or YurView (Channel 14) Wednesdays @ 9 PM
