NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Saints have had to rely on their defense before, but they have never had to rely on Trevor Siemian. The third-string quarterback was thrust into the fire Sunday when Jameis Winston (update) went down with an injury. With Taysom Hill not active, Siemian came off the bench to help lead the Black and Gold to a 36-27 win over Tampa Bay.

Siemian picked up 159 yards in the air and a touchdown, but the Saints defense was the story late in that game.

After taking a 29-27 lead with under two minutes to play, P.J. Williams finished off the Bucs with a pick-six from the hands of Tom Brady.
