In 1989, the Cascia Hall Commandos were on a dominating run to the state championship and it wouldn’t have been possible without their star, Kenny Gunn. A speedy running back and ball-hawking defender, Gunn had an impact on every part of the Commandos game as they went 15-0 on their way to Cascia Hall’s first football championship but it was the lessons that Gunn learned while playing that set him on his path to success.
Now, Gunn is a fire captain and has been with the Tulsa Fire Department for 22 years. He is married with one daughter and two sons. His oldest son is a multi-sport athlete at Crossover Prep and his younger son plays soccer for at Union 6th and 7th Grade Center.
