Creighton Prep Wins to Finish Out the Regular Season

Heading into an unprecedented playoff situation, Papillion-La Vista South came out hard against the Creighton Prep Jr. Jays in hopes of claiming a better seeding in the post-season.

The Titans dictated the pace in the first 24 minutes of play.

Papio South managed two scores via field goal on the leg of Trenton Brehm. Brehm is a versatile utility player for the Titans, but he’s slowly making a name for himself as a get-it-done field goal machine.

Although Prep scored once between the two Brehm field goals, the second one seemed to turn on a light for the Creighton Prep team.

Creighton Prep Comes Back

To anyone familiar with the Jr. Jays’ season so far, this is a familiar story. This is the team that scored 29 points in the 4th quarter after being held scoreless for the first three. Spoiler: they won that one too.

Jack Stessman ran for 169 yards in 24 carries. Although he never got into the end zone, he was instrumental in moving the ball between the 20’s.

Huskers Preferred Walk-On Alex Bullock caught two passes for touchdowns, while the team’s other Nebraska commit AJ Rollins caught one on the night. Bullock also majored in tackles for the Jays.

Creighton Prep wins 28-6 to rise to 5-2. The Titans fall to 1-6.
