Despite troubles with lights moments beforehand, Union and Jenks were ready for action at Trimble Stadium. A lot of back and forth action lead to a scoreless first half.
In the second half, it would be Union that would get on the board first thanks to Ruben Torres.
Moments later, Rogelio Jurado would give Union a 2-0 lead during the last 18 minutes of the game after a shot of the left foot. “You don’t get really time to think in those situations. I got the ball, I got the chance, and thankfully I put it in the back of the net,” said Jurado. “It’s a big rivalry between Union and Jenks, doesn’t matter what sport we play. Soccer, basketball, football, anything. We always like to beat Jenks.”

Three minutes following Jurado’s second goal, Kam Tuang put the first and only score up for Jenks.
Union would play strategic ball the remaining fourteen minutes as they kept the ball away from the Jenks offense to win 2-1. Union improving to 3-0 for the season.
“We adjusted quite well, considering having a man down there. I think it was a test of character and the boys came through.” said Union coach Michael Wilson, referring to Brandon Flores receiving a red card as the rest of his team mates stepped up.
