Sapulpa had a chance with 4 seconds left to tie the game, but the ball bounced off the rim and the game was over.

Smith finished the game with 26 points for the Chieftains.

“What a great high school basketball game,” Owasso head coach Brian Montonati said. “Sapulpa has a heck of a team. They stayed the course and came back. I told my guys at halftime that they weren’t going to go away. We got into a little bit of foul trouble, so we had to stick with one simple defense in the whole second half, but man, we got a call at the end and the chips fell where they needed to.”
