With only 10 seconds left on the clock, Rams junior Hayden Peterson hit the game-winning bucket to clinch a 67-65 win over the No. 7 Sapulpa Chieftains Tuesday night on the road.

Trailing 65-52 with 56 seconds left in the game, Sapulpa sophomore Julian Smith tied the game up 65-65 with a 3-point basket.
Sapulpa had a chance with 4 seconds left to tie the game, but the ball bounced off the rim and the game was over.
Smith finished the game with 26 points for the Chieftains.
“What a great high school basketball game,” Owasso head coach Brian Montonati said. “Sapulpa has a heck of a team. They stayed the course and came back. I told my guys at halftime that they weren’t going to go away. We got into a little bit of foul trouble, so we had to stick with one simple defense in the whole second half, but man, we got a call at the end and the chips fell where they needed to.”
Owasso will travel to Muskogee to take on the 3-7 Roughers Friday, January 12 at 8 p.m.
Sapulpa will look to bounce back against the Jenks Trojans Friday night in Jenks.
