Mustang Gets Second Rule Rule Win of the Day After 10-0 Victory Over Deer Creek

Mustang earned their second run rule victory of the day after defeating Deer Creek 10-0 in five innings. Watch a replay of the game here.

After getting off to a slow start, Mustang found their first score at the top of the second inning after Braden Corley dived from third to home off an RBI from Blaine Helling.

The Broncos went on to score three runs in the third, five runs in the fourth, and one run in the fifth to finish out the game.

“I felt good on the mound,” said Mustang pitcher Dax Fulton, who only allowed three hits.  “I had my off-speed and I knew I could get the hitters off their timing and it would do me well in the game.”

“We made one error, but then we kinda came right back at them then we got a chance to roll the double play and kind of redeem themselves there,” said Mustang head coach Keanon Simon.  “We’re not really hoping for anything, we just need to come out and do what we do, take care of our business and go about and play the game the right way.”
