Union’s Jordan Kelley has signed with the University of Oklahoma. The disruptive 6’4″ Defensive Tackle was pursued by Oklahoma State, Arkansas and Tulsa but ultimately his life-long Sooner fandom helped him sign the dotted line.
“I chose Oklahoma just because I grew up playing video games, NCAA for instance, always picking OU. I grew up watching them play all throughout my life. I always dreamed of being a Sooner.”
Kelley’s high school coach Kirk Fridrich sees him fitting in nicely at Oklahoma. “He’s been a guy that we’ve loved to have in our program. He’s an outstanding player. A very good athlete for the size that he is. As an interior defensive lineman as a nose guard or three technique he’s got a chance to have a really good career at Oklahoma.”
