Jenks’s Big Rivalry Win over Union in 6AI Semifinal, 27-24

Rivals Union and Jenks have played against each other 16 times in the playoffs since 1998. There were many classic games but Saturday’s finish was the best of them all.

Jenks defeated Union 27-24 in the 2018 6AI Semifinals at H.A. Chapman Stadium and will now play Broken Arrow in the championship game on November 30th!

There were three lead changes in the last three minutes of the game topped off by a 1-yard touchdown by Jenks running back Noah Hernandez for the win.

After Union took a 24-21 lead with Peyton Thompson’s 4-yard touchdown pass to Kyler Pearson with 20 seconds left, Jenks quarterback Ian Corwin’s 78-yard bomb to Julian Clarke set up Hernandez’s winning touchdown.
