Jenks Crushes Putnam City North in First-Round Playoffs 42-12

Jenks will be playing in the semifinals after defeating Putnam City North, 42-12, in the Class 6AI quarterfinals Friday.

The Trojans gave up one touchdown on the opening drive but then scored a whopping 42 points for the victory.

Trojan running backs Noah Hernandez and Dreyson Watters combined for 225 yards and three touchdowns. Hernandez gained 78 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries. Watters had 13 carries of 147 yards and a touchdown.

Jenks’ quarterback, Ian Corwin, completed 12-of-23 attempts for 203 yards, a touchdown and an interception in three quarters.

Now Jenks prepares for a rematch next week with big rival Union in the 6AI semifinals. The Trojans won the first matchup of the season, 27-10.
