Damian Everette

Damian Everette had a first half to remember in Broken Arrow’s 41-7 drubbing of Westmoore Friday night at Moore Schools Stadium. The 6’1” senior used his size and receiving skills to haul in three interceptions in the first half.

On the first pick with the score 3-0, Westmoore QB Braxton Bohrofen overthrew his receiver leading to an easy pick and long return for Everette. The pick didn’t lead to Broken Arrow points but it set the tone for things to come.

On the second pick Bohrofen under-threw his receiver and Everette cut in on the route. Only receiver Jacob Clark’s tenacity prevented Everette from a long return.

One the last pick, Westmoore was going for the end zone when Damian Everette fully extended to get the pick and stop a promising drive for Westmoore.

Everette wasn’t the only bright spot for Broken Arrow. Junior running back Noah Cortés finished with 219 yards and two touchdowns including a thrilling 77 yard touchdown run where he leapt over a would-be tackler.
