Quincy has been getting outside a lot lately, and he’s exploring some of the beautiful state parks that Virginia has to offer.
Visit Chippokes State Park
This time he is visiting Chippokes State Park- and he is learning all about the museums and the history- and he might even find some shark teeth!
Chippokes State Park is located in Surry, Virginia. It’s one of the more quiet parts of the 757! The state park is also the country’s oldest continually- farmed plantations.
Activities
Q finds TWO shark teeth, and says he is going to give one of them to Ashley. The jury is out on whether or not he followed through, though.
There is a lot of history that happened there, and a lot of people visit just because of that history!
There are even cottages and a lodge that people can rent out to immerse themselves in the history even further, by staying on the property overnight.
When it comes to activities, there is no shortage at Chippokes State Park!
You can ride bikes, ride horses and explore the trails and beaches. You can even see and learn about the equipment that farmers used to use back in the day!
The Farm
A lot of the equipment is generally the same, with the years of knowledge fine tuning each tool’s purpose.
As all farms do, this one also has farm animals- watch the full video to see how well Quincy got along with the oldest pig in the state park.
