Preventing Animal Cruelty with the SPCA

Sponsored By: Invisible Fence Brand of Hampton Roads

Ashley and Patricia welcome Mandy from the Virginia Beach SPCA to the show to discuss how they are trying to bring awareness to the prevention of animal cruelty, as well as the other services they provide for our furry friends and their owners.

The SPCA is best known for sheltering homeless animals and helping them find homes through adoptions.

In addition to their incredible adoption service, the SPCA offers a low cost spay and neuter clinic and a low cost veterinary clinic for those who qualify.

They also educate the community on responsible pet ownership.

April month is animal cruelty prevention month.

With their Humane Education Program, the SPCA is working to help educate kids, about animals and how to treat them with compassion and kindness.

New call-to-action

The SPCA is excited to finally be hosting an “in-person” event since the pandemic began.

Their annual Puttin’ for Paws Charity Golf Tournament will be held in Virginia Beach on June 4th.  There are several packages available for anyone interested in having fun for a good cause.

Looking to adopt a new best friend?  Their “Match Maker Profile” helps their adoption counselors aid you in finding the perfect pet for your lifestyle.

So when you are ready to expand your family with a beautiful furry face, contact the SPCA with all of these services and extra care, why go anywhere else?
