Summertime has arrived! That means more vehicles on the road, which unfortunately means more car crashes.
Our friend Camila Barco from the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles joined the ladies to talk about staying safe on our roadways this Summer.
The single most effective way to protect yourself and everyone else in your vehicle in the event of a crash, is to wear your seatbelt!!
Seatbelts save lives every day, and about 15,000 per year in the United States alone.
A new law is going into effect on July 1st, that states EVERYONE in a vehicle must be buckled in. This includes people in the back seat of vehicles.
This means that no matter where in the car you are, you are required by law to buckle your seatbelt.
Click it or ticket, folks!
As a driver, you can ensure everyone is safe by not putting the car into drive until everyone is safely in their seatbelt.
