Volunteer Pilots and Little Learners, here in Hampton Roads!

In the heart of Norfolk, Virginia, known for generations as a “Navy Town”, there is a monument and museum to one of America’s most famous Army generals. On this episode of Hometown Heroes, we’ll see how MacArthur’s family played a role in the move here. When it comes to moving military families, there’s an opportunity for Little Learners to feel right at home in their new location and we’ll meet happy toddlers and parents as they flourish. Learning can be fun. And STEM workshops show us distinctive ways to apply math and science.  It takes a great understanding of science and technology to pilot planes and we’ll meet a man who takes to the air for Angel Flights.  Join us on Hometown Heroes for these inspiring stories and more.
