Mike Williams Dunham Football

Dunham High School senior Mike Williams has been called “Louisiana’s most mysterious recruit” by SEC Country.

(Note: Williams ended the mystery of his recruitment when he signed with the Texas Longhorns on national signing day.)

He’s a 6’2″, 260 lb athlete who’s received interest as a defensive end and linebacker by the likes of Alabama, LSU, Ole Miss and Texas A&M.

However, even though colleges would like to see him play another position, Williams has been taking snaps as a QB since he was 7 years old and has had tremendous success as a passer and runner. As a junior, he passed for 1,835 yards and 24 touchdowns while adding 636 yards and 12 TD’s on the ground.

In this clip, Williams shows why defenses may be a little cautious about trying to tackle him, and why colleges could look at him as an offensive threat – he takes the snap and goes 98 yards, running around, over and through most of the Central defense.

His future may be on the defensive side of the ball, but Dunham fans will enjoy seeing Mike Williams the QB for as long as they can.
